Eagles in Recovery Guest Lecture on Understanding Cannabis on Campus, April 7

Eagles in Recovery will host a guest lecture by VCU’s Assistant Director of Substance Use and Recovery Support Tom Bannard. The talk is titled “The Shifting Environment of Cannabis: Things to know about prevalence, impacts and policies on College Campus” and will be on Tuesday, April 7 from 2 to 4  p.m. in the Cedric Rucker University Center Capital Room 314.

Eagles in Recovery Spring Schedule

It’s a brand new year and Eagles in Recovery is looking forward to continuing its support of the community. UMW Eagles in Recovery’s mission is to support those seeking recovery and who have a friend or family member struggling with addiction. Our goal is to provide you with support and resources such as Peer Recovery Specialist led weekly support groups and personal coaching.

*NEW* Friends and Family Support Group Monday’s 7:00 p.m. at The Link room 305 or on Zoom.

Eagles In Recovery Support Services are Available

Eagles in Recovery is UMW’s Collegiate Recovery Program. It is structured to support students in different stages of exploring their own recovery who are seeking a degree in higher education.

Eagles in Recovery works to ensure students do not have to choose between their recovery and their education. We support students through their journey here at UMW with one-on-one recovery coaching with a trained peer recovery specialist, weekly support groups, access to safe zone clubhouse and recovery events.
