Join President Paino and the UMW Association of Student Veterans on Veterans Day (Nov. 11) during a lunchtime tribute at 12:45 p.m. to raise awareness about the epidemic of veteran suicide. As we celebrate Veterans Day and the service of so many of our community members, we must also remember that every day 22 veterans lose their struggle with depression, PTSD, TBI, substance abuse or other issues and take their own life. The 22 challenge raises awareness by having community members video themselves doing 22 push-ups and then challenging friends, family and coworkers to do the same. President Paino kicks off the UMW campaign at 12:45 on Nov. 11 in front of the UC. Come out and cheer him on or join in and help raise awareness about this critical issue facing our nation’s veterans.
