Science Museum of Virginia Discount for State Employees
Virginia Department of Human Resource Management
August 1, 2018
Dear State Employees:
From August 1 to September 3, the Science Museum of Virginia will offer Commonwealth of Virginia employees a more than 26 percent discount on membership. Anyone employed by the state can purchase a Supernova membership for just $99.
The Museum’s Supernova membership level includes two adults and all children (18 years old and younger) in the household. It provides free regular exhibit admission, guest passes to bring friends and family along for a visit, discounts in the café and shop, and Dome passes to see films on the largest screen in Virginia, and more.
The membership is valid for an entire year, giving state employees, like you, the opportunity to see “BODY WORLDS: ANIMAL INSIDE OUT” at the discounted member rate of $5 before it leaves the Museum on Labor Day. This enlightening touring exhibition celebrates the animal kingdom by displaying preserved specimens of creatures large and small, exotic and familiar, whole and in various forms.
A membership purchased during this promotion is also valid to come next summer when the Museum will host “Pompeii: The Immortal City.” That show, which features more than 100 authentic items found during the archaeological excavations of the Italian city destroyed in 79 A.D., will be making its North American debut at the Museum in June 2019.
For more information about becoming a Museum member, visit http://www.smv.org/join or call (804) 864-1449.
The Science Museum looks forward to seeing you there!
Sincerely,
Department of Human Resource Management
