Farewell and Thank You
UMW Faculty and Staff Colleagues:
After 22 months, I will be saying good-bye on Monday June 30. It is a bittersweet moment for me personally. I have enjoyed my time in this interim position for so many reasons – the University and the academic programs are top notch, everyone has supported the many changes and enhancements to the Admissions and Financial Aid Operations, the students are some of the brightest and most thoughtful young people I’ve ever worked with, and I love Fredericksburg! However, I must say that I will appreciate being back home in Pittsburgh with my husband, family and friends – and back in my home. If you are ever in my area, please know that my door is always open!
Thank you, and I wish you and UMW all the best for a bright future.

Interim Associate Provost for Admissions and Financial Aid
Notice of Upcoming Work on the Fredericksburg Campus
Progress on the University Center will expand beyond the construction fence beginning next week. On Tuesday, July 1, and continuing for most of the month, there will be additional temporary construction fencing between the existing University Center fence and the nearby corner of Virginia Hall at Ball Circle. The purpose of the fence is to protect our campus community from trenching and underground piping work which will eventually connect steam heat and domestic water to the University Center.
Your consideration and understanding about the continuing changes to the Fredericksburg campus are appreciated.

A. Leslie Johnson, Jr.
