UMW Faculty and Staff:
On Tuesday, Jan. 21, the University will be hosting a demonstration of the Enterprise Management System (EMS) scheduling software in Lee Hall, Room 412. The demonstration sessions are open to all UMW faculty and staff and will be an opportunity for the University community to learn about the system as a potential new software to meet UMW’s scheduling needs. The schedule for the demonstration is as follows:
9 a.m. – noon General Session for all members of the UMW community
1-1:50 p.m. Advanced Aspects of Events Scheduling
2-2:50 p.m. Advanced Technical Aspects
3-3:50 p.m. Advanced Aspects of Academic Scheduling
4 p.m. Wrap-up
NOTE: The general session is intended for typical end-users (faculty, staff, students, administrators). The afternoon discussions are aimed at power users of the system and will NOT provide a general overview or be the place for generic questions.
The general session will be recorded and made available after Jan. 21. If you would like to learn more about the EMS software in advance of the demonstration, please visit the company’s website at www.dea.com.
Message from the Academic Task Force
The following message is from the Academic Task Force:
The templates and data sheets associated with the Academic Task Force of the Strategic Resource Reallocation process are now available to all members of the UMW community. To access the templates, you must be on the UMW network either directly or via VPN and have a UMW network login. The templates and datasheets (under the heading Supplemental Information) can be found at taskforce.umw.edu under the tab “completed templates.” The Academic Task Force is more than halfway through evaluating the programs. We hope to complete that part of the process by spring break and then begin formulating a final report. Thank you all for your cooperation.
