Upcoming Athletic Events
The UMW volleyball team will make its 2013 home debut tonight, September 4, at 7 p.m. in the Anderson Center against Randolph-Macon College. UMW is off to a 2-2 start, and hopes are high for a great match tonight against the always-tough Yellow Jackets.
The nationally-ranked Eagle field hockey team will make its home debut on Thursday at 4 p.m. at the Battleground against Washington & Lee University. Sixth-ranked UMW is already 2-0 on the season, having outscored its opponents, 19-1, in two games.
The UMW women’s soccer team will host the annual UMW Soccer Classic on Saturday and Sunday, as the Eagles will face Emory & Henry on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. and will host Washington & Lee on Sunday at 3 p.m.
In addition to the great action on the fields and courts, there will be great giveaways and contests at each game! All are welcome, and admission is free!

NCAA College Colors Day

Good Afternoon Staff Advisory Council Members,
This email is to notify you that Friday, August 30, is NCAA College Colors Day. It is a national event sponsored by the NCAA designed to promote school spirit throughout the Association. The University of Mary Washington Athletics Department is asking all students, staff and faculty to support our many college athletes by wearing UMW apparel in the Blue, White, or Gray colors this Friday.
Need apparel to wear? The bookstore is offering a 20% discount on Friday for apparel items that are blue, white or gray.
