Choose to Reuse

On Wednesday, October 2, University of Mary Washington Dining Services by Sodexo will launch a reusable “to go” container program. Choose to Reuse is a reusable container program developed especially for Sodexo campus services to reduce waste and help achieve Sodexo’s Better Tomorrow Plan commitments by replacing single-use disposable food containers with reusable containers.

The cost is $5 per semester, and students can use their meal plan flex dollars to make the purchase. Students may “buy in” to the program at any of five campus dining locations. When they return the used containers to the resident dining hall they can receive a new container, or if they prefer, they can get a token which they can redeem for a container at a later time.
