Patient First and Anthem Members:
Patient First has notified existing patients with Anthem coverage that it will no longer accept NEW patients who are Anthem members effective Feb. 2, 2016. This includes members in the state COVA Care and COVA HDHP plans. Existing Patient First patients would not be affected by the change. Anthem and Patient First continue negotiations. We will let you know when we receive any updated information.
Please refer employees who have questions to Anthem at 1-800-552-2682.

Congratulations to Caitlin DeMarco, library assistant at UMW’s Stafford campus, for being the winner of the November HR fitness challenge! She earned a FitBit Flex for all her lunchtime workouts.
Want to win a Fitbit Flex wireless wrist band? For the month of November, keep track of every workout (fitness center/gym, walking, running, etc.) that you do here on your Lunch Break (days off, weekends, Thanksgiving break days do NOT count).

Log your total number of lunchtime workouts by 5 p.m. on Nov. 30. The employee with the most workouts will win a Fitbit Flex! In the event of a tie, a drawing will be held. The winner will be announced on Dec. 1. (Note: The Fitbit Flex is taxable and valued at $79.99).
Be on the lookout for another challenge in early 2016 to win another Fitbit Flex wireless wrist band!
