Political Science Professor and Department Chair Rosalyn Cooperman spoke to The Epoch Times about the challenges facing incoming Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy in the 118th Congress that convened in early January. “A primary part of the Speaker’s job is to negotiate and to bring people together,” said Cooperman in the Jan. 6 call with the publication, with a Speaker still not elected. “And what we are seeing is that Kevin McCarthy is not doing a good job of negotiating and bringing people together.” Read more.
