The Student Health Center is collaborating with Giant Pharmacy to offer on-campus vaccine clinics starting this Wednesday, Aug. 19, during move-in day, and continuing once per month throughout the fall.
The dates include:
- Wednesday, Aug. 19
- Tuesday, Sept. 15
- Thursday, Oct. 15
- Wednesday, Nov. 11
Stop by the Cedric Rucker University Center living room areas from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each date. The clinics are open to students, faculty, and staff with no appointment needed. Families can also stop by on move-in day.
Vaccines for flu, HPV, meningitis, hepatitis A/B, Covid-19, tetanus, shingles, pneumonia, and RSV are typically available, along with MMR (measles, mumps and rubella). There is no cost with most insurance.
Please review your immunization records and speak with your healthcare provider if you have questions about your protection against any of these diseases, including measles, as there has been an increase of cases in Virginia in unvaccinated individuals.
