Thomas Swift, adjunct instructor of economics, was recently elected a Fellow of the National Association for Business Economics (NABE). Swift is a former board member of NABE and has headed the NABE education committee.

Hydorn completes ONR Summer Faculty Research Program
Debra Hydorn, professor of mathematics, participated in a 10-week research project at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division. She investigated the use of the R BACCO package to implement the Bayesian Calibration of Computer Code Output. The research was conducted on the Dahlgren base between June 1 and August 7, 2015.

Cooperman Delivers Talk at GWU Global Gender Conference
Rosalyn Cooperman, associate professor of Political Science, presented her research on political parties and women’s political participation in the U.S. at the Empowering Women through Political Participation Conference sponsored by the Global Gender Program and the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University.
